About Reba

The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
(1 Samuel 16:7)

Me

My name is Reba. I’m from a small town in west Texas. I currently live in Oklahoma going to college. I’m a small town girl, and I’ll never forget where I came from.

I graduated from Idalou High School in 2009. I was active in 4-H and FFA. I received the 4-H Gold Star award in 2007, the Lone Star FFA Degree in 2009, and will receive my American FFA Degree in October of 2010 at the National FFA Convention. I was also involved in many other student organizations in high school, and held various leadership roles and learned many important life skills that have molded me into the young lady I am today.

I began my college career at Oklahoma Christian University (OC), and pursuing a degree in Mass Communications specializing in Public Relations and Advertising. I was a senator in Student Government Association (SGA). I was active in PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) and Conservative Voices of OC (CVOC).

I currently go to Oklahoma State University (OSU), pursing a duel degree in Agriculture Communications and Animal Science. I am active in the Agriculture Communicators of Tomorrow, Livestock Publications Council, and hope to become more involved this fall semester.

Ultimately, I would like to have a job in social media and agriculture. Working with people, in a place that is convenient to them, can keep them informed and up-to-date as well as handle any crisis situations. If my social media dream doesn’t work out, I would like to work in the Extension service, educating people on the importance of agriculture, and how we are each involved in it, one way or another.

Agriculture is a huge part of my life, it is my first true love.  I love being an Agvocate. I am truly AgProud. I currently have an amazing job that is teaching me a lot about agricultural communications and the beef cattle and seedstock industries. I work at the Limousin World Magazine. It is a CATTLE magazine, not a magazine about the stretched luxury automobiles.

Family means so much to me. Though I have been put through a lot of things that a girl of my age shouldn’t ever have to go through, I thank God everyday for my family, and I definitely would not be the person I am without them.

I absolutely love country music. It makes me happy. I love sunny days with a nice breeze and driving around the dirt roads with my windows rolled down, and the radio turned up, singing along at the top of my lungs.  I love laughing, and smiling. You never know how much a smile can brighten someone’s day. If you see someone without a smile, give them yours.”

I love taking pictures, of anything and everything pretty much. My dad and I own a photography company back home, so I’ve had lots of practice.

Please Read and Enjoy, feel free to leave me comments.

God Bless and Love,

Reba :)
